TDA4VM: Two PC connected to the Quad-Port ethernet Expansion board cannot ping in Native Ethernet Switch mode

Part Number: TDA4VM

Hi TI Ethernet Experts,

By following the link below, the native ethernet is configured in switch mode.

https://software-dl.ti.com/jacinto7/esd/processor-sdk-linux-rt-jacinto7/08_06_00_11/exports/docs/linux/Foundational_Components/Kernel/Kernel_Drivers/Network/CPSWng-Native-Ethernet.html#switch-mode

The sequence to configure switch mode is shown below.

Then two PC are connected to the Quad-Port Ethernet Expansion board, but they cannot ping to each other.

However, with the same hardware connection, the 2 PC can ping to each other in virtual client mode.

Questions:

1: May I know if there is any restriction for 2 PC ping in switch mode?

2: When CPSW9g is in Native Ethernet Switch Mode, can the 8 ports be configured to different vlan?

Thanks a lot!

Kevin
