TDA4VH-Q1: Does VPAC3 support RYYCy sensor?

Hi, TI experts,

I found some threads about RYYCy pattern, TDA4VM: [TDA4VM]VISS driver/tuning for CFA RYYCy - Processors forum - Processors - TI E2E support forums, TDA4VH-Q1: TDA4VH - DCC for processing RYYCy - Processors forum - Processors - TI E2E support forums.

If I bring up a RYYCy sensor into TDA4VH, I think VISS will do CFA interpolation just the same as RGGB sensor, and then do CCM transform to correct color.

My questions are: do you have RYYCy data to verify the feasibility? Is there any risk on color accuracy if processing RYYCy sensor using VPAC?

Hi Jianxiong Hua,

Is this 2x2 format? Because then it can be supported in the ISP. We dont really have an example in SDK to demonstrate this format support.

I will request Gang Hua to help on color accuracy question.

We have not worked on any real RYYCy sensors directly in our team.

Our verification was done using synthetic RYYCy data.

Which sensor are you planning to work on?

We plan to use Samsung's S5K1H1SB RYYCy sensor.

Hi Joanxiong,

As Gang Hua mentioned, there isn't any example available in the SDK for this sensor format. We can help, but you would require to develop it and tune it. if you already have sensor, lets first start bringing up this sensor.
