We are designing a dual SoCs ADAS system composed by TDA4AH & TDA4VM.

TDA4AH , the main SoC, processes the ADAS system; TDA4VM only processes the data from lidar.

A basic power on step is that MCU controls the total sequence, if the communication between the SoCs connected by ethernet port,

We are worry about that the eth initialize step may failed.

Is the worry due to initialisation and auto negotiation sequence of SGMII?

How are the SGMII ports connected? Are they connected MAC2MAC?

How are the SGMII ports connected? Directly connection without PHY

Are they connected MAC2MAC? YES

Hi,

In that case you can use the SGMII in master mode. To change this, apply the following patch : 2072.0001-set-sgmii-mac-as-master.patch

1. Should only the main SoC set as MASTER by this patch? The second one(slave) ?

2. Power-on delay time controlled by MCU?

Hi,

You can set both of them to "Master" and it is supposed to work. Whichever SoC comes up last will establish the link. The sequence would not be relevant in this case.
