Hi Team,
Hope you're doing well.
Could you share the IBIS model of AM62A12AQMSIAMBRQ1 under different temp?(-40oC/25oC/85oC)
Thank you.

Hello Evan Wang,
Thank you for the query and hope you are doing good.
Could you share the IBIS model of AM62A12AQMSIAMBRQ1 under different temp?(-40oC/25oC/85oC)
Let me check with the team and update.

Hello Evan Wang,
I summarized the discussion with the expert below:
Does the current model on TI.com support simulation at different temperatures.
Yes the IBIS models for the IOs should cover the temp range specified below.
Would there be changes in selections of the signal drive or any other parameter required.
No, drive strength selection is independent of temperature.
I am not able to put the query in right way – when simulation is performed – would it be for a specific temperature. Is there a temperature setting that can be used. Please help me understand how the simulation is differentiated between room temperature, high temperature and cold temperature.
One can simulate for different temperatures by simulating “typical”, “minimal” or “maximal” scenarios for a given model selection within the IBIS. These three different scenarios will vary temperature, voltage and process simultaneously.

Hi Sreenivasa,
I think we can use the IBIS model we provide in AM62A3 product folder for AM62A12AQMSIAMBRQ1, am I right?

Hello Evan Wang,
Thank you.
The IBIS model is common for AM62A3 and AM62A7.
I think we can use the IBIS model we provide in AM62A3 product folder for AM62A12AQMSIAMBRQ1, am I right?
Correct.

Hi Board Designers
Inputs related to IBIS model:
My customer will use CLKOUT0 for clock source of external PHY and they would like to simulate signal integrity. He got IBIS model of 1_AM62_sprm766d.ibs, but only EXT_REFCLK1 is assigned to A18 pin and CLKOUT0 looks not available.
Could you please provide IBIS model of CLKOUT0?

The pin name is more of a syntax convention in the IBIS model. What really matters is the actual model which is LVCMOS_V. The IO model will not change depending on the mux mode selected but the way the user hooks it up in their simulation will. Here is a screenshot from one simulator tool to illustrate the different models available for that pin (LVCMOS_V in 1.8V or 3.3V mode).

Hi Board Designers
Inputs related to IBIS model usage:
I need terminal capacitance vakue of LVCMOS @1.8V operation, could you please provide the number of it ?
The information related to the input capacitance is part of the IBIS model.
The below app note can help

Additional inputs i received from the expert:
the IBIS model does contain the lumped RLC information for each of the pkg nets.
Customer will need to add pkg net capacitance to the Ccomp for the specific IO buffer to obtain total pin capacitance for the specific pin they are looking for.
value of the input capacitance of LVCMOS PIN.
The IBIS models have C_pkg (package capacitance, universal min/max for all pins) and C_comp (die capacitance, unique for each buffer type) that can be combined together to get the total capacitance for a pin.

DRA80M: What is RGMII series resistor value and absolute maximum ratings
The value of the series termination resistor is dependent on the specific design. The PCB's target impedance could drive different resistor values. It is possible no resistor is required. Recommend using the IBIS model, customer's PCB simulation to determine if resistor is required and if so, the specific resistor value.
