DDC11XEVM-PDK: Bit-File & firmware for EZ-USB FX2LP-interface & Spartan-FPGA for backup

Part Number: DDC11XEVM-PDK

Hello TI,

hello everyone,

I still hope for the original shipped data files regarding:

1) EZ-USB FX2LP-interface and Cypress firmware

2) Bit-file for the associated Spartan-FPGA

for backup purposes. Otherwise all failed experiments will trash the Eval-Board  :-0

Thanks for help,

Ritchie

  • Hi Ritchie,

Typically the FPGA bit file and the firmware files are not distributed.
We are looking into gathering the data you have requested.
This might take take a few days to get back to you.
  • Thanks Praveen,
    that sounds promising :)

    Regards,

    Ritchie
  • Dear Praveen,

unfortunately I did NOT get any feedback from you or your colleagues :-(

Please explain to me: why is TI so reluctant to share some working code or answer my questions??? (now in two posts, allready)

Should TI-customers buy expensive EVAL-Boards and you leave them in the middle of nowhere?

My point is: why not propell your customers as much as possible in order to get them the most out of the given/ paid hardware..?!

I hope there is room for improvement!

    Thank You,

    Ritchie

  • Hello Richard,

Very sorry about the radio silence. My group has had limited experience with these products and unsure what/if can be shared. We've been trying to track down the previous team that worked on them. We want to do everything we can to help you.

Just spoke with them, the reason we cannot share all the files you requested is that EVMs are not intended for developmental purpose but rather a way for customers to evaluate and for us to demonstrate the part. The files we have, have not been censored for release to customers. I did find some files that might be of use to you. (It's not letting me send the files here) please email me at mendez@ti.com and  I will send you the files.

  • Dear Matt,
thanks a lot for your strong help - I appreciate that really!  I will also follow your hints of your last email.

Where is the "solved"- button ;-)

    Best Regards,

    Ritchie
