TIDA-01606: Problems with measurement and debugging

Part Number: TIDA-01606

Dear Sir or madam,

we are trying to get your TIDA-01606-EVAL board running but we are running into some problems which we think are software related. We use the provided demo software of the project but all rms-values are zero and the values of the sensed variables in the function TINV_read_Curr_Voltage() of the tinv.h file are not even close to the values we measure with our oscilloscope. Our problem might be similar to the one mentioned in the Topic TIDA-01606: TIDA-01606. We did try the solutions with setting the relay variable using the closed loop and resetting the error but there was no change in result and we still saw the wrong data in our debug sessions.

On the project website of the TIDA-01606 it is mentioned that the software for download is still a pre-release version. Is there any chance for an updated version since the published version is from May 2019 and we now have November 2020.

We are open for any sugestions how to solve our problem with the wrong readings int the software because without the correct readings the programm will always fall back into an error state.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Sven

  • Hi Sven,

    Thank you for the query.

Currently we have a revised firmware version which is currently not available online and will be available only in the ist quarter of 2021 (March). We can definitely share the current version which has been extensively verified and this definitely does not have bugs as the one you have mentioned above. Could you please let me know if you have contact with the mass market field account team person so that it will make the process of sharing the code easier? Please let me know.

    Regards,

  • Dear Harish,

    thanks for your reply.

We have now double checked the hardware parts. Current and voltage levels seem to be alright as far as we can tell and the levels on the ADC inputs match our expectations with the given Hardware but the calculated values on the controller are off.

Regarding the contact some Anthony Berthet wrote me an email and I will reply to that.

    Regards

    Sven
