CC2520: Sniffer mode - data and clock output

Hi,

I would like to be able to use the Sniffer mode functionality in the project, but some info from datasheet is not clear for me.

It's mentioned that raw data is sent together with the clock on GPIO pins,
But later:

When sniffing frames in RX mode, the data that is written to the RX FIFO by the demodulator is the same data that is output by the packet sniffer.

Does this mean that I can also read data from CC2520 registers via SPI without using sniff_data & sniff_clk pins?
