Hello TI community, this is my first post here!

I would like to discuss about PCB design for TAS5630 stereo amplifier application. I have more than 20 years of experience in various analog and digital design but to be honest, this is my first time to work with devices like TAS5630.

So, I need some general advices about PCB design for this IC. Also, can someone point me on PCB project files to look at as reference. Mr. Tomasz Chumiecki posted here http://e2e.ti.com/support/amplifiers/audio_amplifiers/f/6/p/62800/301500.aspx?PageIndex=2 very nice photos of its PCB design and I like the way how he realize "star" configuration.

In addition, I have started tread about Class D amplifiers and on first place design based on TAS5630 on our local forum (sorry it is on Serbian, you can use Google translate):

BTW, I'm still waiting on samples to be shipped. Order is more than week in status "In work at fulfillment". I hope it will be processed ...

Welcome to e2e!

there is some excellent information on the TAS5630 on e2e already. I suggest you review the presentation posted here, and then look at the gerber files for the TAS5630PHD2 EVM here. The closer you copy the EVM, the better your chances for success.

Note, as opposed to Tomasz, we have found that using a solid ground plane contributes to better success, but I don't want to get started on a grounding war! ha!

Hi Don,

thank You very much for provided information. The first one thread/document is very nice and it contain exact information I need. Also, very useful for other analog design.

My next step is to start PCB design, but before that I need to chose and collect other passive elements.

Question, when I finish PCB design, can I post links to project files on forum?
