Hello

i am trying to use the biquads in the tas5518, but i cant figure out the values for them.. i have tried using COEFFICIENT-CALC app http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/coefficient-calc.html but when i try tu put the coefficients into the tas5518 gui, then the graph doesnt make any sense.. my guess is that the problem is related to the 5.23 format.. but i dont know how to fix that

i stumbled across this app note http://focus.ti.com/lit/an/slea014/slea014.pdf whitch describes ALE, and that seems like a program that could solve most of my problems, but is there anyway i can get my fingers on it?

Hi Jens:

The ALE 5.2 comes as a software package with the EVM. We don't have this on TI website. We plan to put this on the extranet.

Hi together,
will this work together with TAS5518? In the users guide it says TAS3xxx.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but I think the ALE is a universal program, I believe it just calculates the coefficients you need in 3.23 format that you can then plug into the GUI to write to the IC.

If you have more questions on this, I suggest you post a thread on the internal forum.
