Can the DRV8662 be used to drive a piezo buzzer as an alarm?

The traditional alarm circuit uses an inductor or auto transformer in parallel with the piezo buzzer to resonate and generate a high voltage.

Is the DRV8662 a suitable alternative?

The question is whether the TI IC can replace the T1 autotransformer which is a physically large part?
