Hello Sir,
I have bought about 8 modules of TALP1000b which i will be using in steering applications. The problem i am facing is the holding structure of MEMS(TALP1000b). I want to hold 4 mems mirrors in one structure. I have tried to use a GPB(GENERAL PURPOSE BOARD) as a structure on which i can hold the mems through the 12 pin connector but the spacing between the pins is very less. Can you suggest some holding structure on which u can hold the 4 mems together. Shall i buy female connector according to the connector or any other structure is advisable??
Sincerely
Vishal Mehta

Hello Vishal,
I am sorry for the delay in answering. I have obtained information from the analog mirror team that should help. Here is their response:
Greetings Vishal,
Texas Instruments recommends that the TALP1000B devices are mechanically captured using the four mounting holes in the ceramic circuit board. Some proof-of-principal or early prototype work can be done mounting the devices from the 12 pin connector.
If you choose to mount from the 12 pin connector then there are several options for connectors which mate to the Sullins 12-Pin Connector (P/N PRPN062PAEN). The link (http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=S5801-06-ND ) should take you to a Digikey page which lists the following connectors:
S6014-06-ND - CONN RECEPT 2MM DUAL SMD 12POS
S6013-06-ND - CONN RECEPT 2MM DUAL SMD 12POS
S6012-06-ND - CONN RECEPT 2MM DUAL SMD 12POS
S6011-06-ND - CONN RECEPT 2MM DUAL SMD 12POS
S6010-06-ND - CONN RECEPT 2MM DUAL SMD 12POS
S5753-06-ND - CONN RECEPT 2MM DUAL R/A 12POS
S5750-06-ND - CONN RECEPT 2MM DUAL STR 12POS
S2207-06-ND - CONN HEADER 2MM DUAL SMD 12POS
S2206-06-ND - CONN HEADER 2MM DUAL SMD 12POS
S2205-06-ND - CONN HEADER 2MM DUAL SMD 12POS
All of these connectors have the same 2mm pin to pin spacing and any could be used to connect to the TALP1000B. S5750-06 may be the easiest to use as it has through hole solder pins and also has a thick header which provides clearance for the coils on the underside of the device.
The attached document contains information about the TALP1000B mounting and mechanical interface that you might find useful.
