PCM1862EVM: PPC can not be recognized as PCM1862

I am verifying PCM1862 with PCM186x EVM

PPC (v2.1 rev 35934) does not detect PCM1862 even when connecting with EVM via USB. It is recognized as PCM1860/1.
So the window of RESISTOR does not OPEN.

The settings of the MD pin of the PCM1862 and the JUMPER of the EVM are as follows.

PCM1862 pins: MD 0 = Lo, MS = Lo, SCL = I 2 C, SDA = I 2 C, GPIO 0/1/2/3 = open
EVM: J8 / J11 = installed, Xtal: open

Hi Masaki-san,
Can you please check the marking on the device that is populated on the EVM and let me know what you see? Is this an EVM that you ordered via TI eStore? I'm sorry you are encountering this issue but I cannot think of any reason why the GUI is identifying the device as PCM1860 unless the device was wrongly populated...

I certainly purchased it as PCM1860. Then it was replaced with PCM1862. Because My evaluation target has changed to PCM1862. MD setting was changed according to PCM1862. And EVM is "Mode 0"

Please check picture for setting.

In my thinking, this EVM can use PCM186x by MD set.

Could you give me some advice's?

I connected with EVM at PPC 2.1 rev 34705(previous revision) and then PCM1862 worked as PCM1865.

Is there something wrong with PPC 2.1 rev 35934?

Dear Masaki-san,

I'm glad the issue is resolved as far as being able to detect the device.

Regarding PPC SW revisions, I don't think the Rev 35934 has any issues pertaining to the issue at hand, and I'll review the release notes for the two versions and get back to you w more specific answer.

Please clarify whether it is SW issue or EVM issue.

When PCM1860 mounted on the EVM is replaced with PCM1862, please advice me what to do for the EVM or SW.
