TLV320AIC10 codec digital loop back.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320AIC10

Hi,

Iam working on integrating TLV320AIC10 codec with AMBE2000 vocoder. I have configured TLV320AIC10 to work at SCLK of 2.048 MHz, FS is 8kHz. Input is selected as AURXM and AURXFP through configuration. For validating TLV320AIC10, I wanted to test it in Digital loopback. I tried to do so by first configuring it in digital loop back mode (D7=1 and D6=0 of control register 3). Then I checked the audio output at OUTM and OUTP. Nothing is heard. What could be the issue. I also tried by shorting DIN and DOUT pins physically. Please help me ouyt with this situation.

Thanks and regards,

Srikanth.

  • Hi, Srikanth,

Well, I support it could either be a hard ware or software problem.

What have you done to verify that the hard ware is working correctly?

As for the software, please make sure the registers in the AIC10 are programmed appropriately. You may need to change signal path, gain, shutdown mode, etc, from the default settings. Please make sure both ICs are configured for the same data format.

  • Hi Don,

Thanks for the reply. But how to check AIC in digital loop back? I have configured AIC cntrl register 3(D7=1 & D6=0). I have shorted DIN and DOUT pins physically. AUXP & AUXM are audio inputs and OUTP & OUTM are audio outputs. Is there any document available describing testing of AIC in digital loopback.

Also how to check whether AIC10 has been configured correctly or not. I am using DCSI to configure AIC.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Srikanth.
