Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28070

Gerold,

Thanks for your help.I have another question .I need to use the pins of CDR,RDM in the pdf.How to work it out  ?What is the relationship between the average model and the BOOST_AVG block? How to use the average model  and the BOOST_AVG block?May I have an explanation in details or some relevant document?

Regards

Zhao

  • Jicheng,

The average model is used for simulating the Bode plot of the circuit. In this application the CDR and the RDM pins do not have any impact on the Bode plot and hence were not included.

The UCC28070 Average Model is used to represent the Average waveform on the IC and the BOOST_AVG is used to represent the Boost stage of the circuit, These models have to be used in conjunction as shown in the published schematic. The Average model is topology specific and the published Average model is for the UCC28070 EVM. If your circuit is same as the EVM with different component values then you can use this average model to evaluate the loop response. You will only need to tune the model parameters (CSGAIN, RLBOOST, RSW, LBOOST and CRESP) according to your circuit. The explanation of these parameters is given in the notes section in the schematic.

If you need to run time domain simulations, please use the published transient model.

    Best regards,
