CortexR4: Warning: (Error -1003) on Load Memory Raw Data Format

Hi,

I get the following warning when I try to Tools/Load Memory a raw data format .bin file to my TMS570LS10216 via Spectrum Digital XDS510USB Plus from CCS Version: 5.1.0.201104171800 Build id: N201104171800 (CGT 4.7.1):

CortexR4: Warning: (Error -1003 @ 0x2BC5) Internal error: Invalid parameter passed to function. Restart the application. If error persists, please report the error. (Release 5.0.353.0)

I can Tools/Save Memory with no problem, which is where my raw data /bin file came from in the first place.

Any ideas?

Regards, Tony.

  • Tony,

Are you trying to write back to flash or RAM?  I can get a similar error if I try to write to flash.

CortexR4: Unable to terminate memory download: (Error -1003 @ 0x2BC5) Internal error: Invalid parameter passed to function. Restart the application. If error persists, please report the error. (Emulation package 5.0.470.2)

The only TMS570 I have is the LS20216 with the onboard XDS100.

  • Hi John,

I think I've been a bit of an idiot. I'm trying to write to flash. I bet this command only supports write to RAM. Previously,

I've tried to use Run/Load/Load Program for writing to flash but this doesn't seem to support either .HEX or .BIN files. You may have seen my other forum post (.BIN or .HEX Conversion to .ELF) asking if it is possible to convert either .BIN or .HEX to .ELF, I should then be able to Run/Load/Load Program to program my flash.

    Regards, Tony.
