    Warning displayed as error

    Hello,

Recently I've upgraded CCS from 5.1.0.07001 to 5.1.0.08020. Since now warning [W9999] is displayed as an error in the problems tab. It used to be displayed as a warning in the problems tab. Maybe the problem is in the TI C/C++ error parser, TI Link error parser or TI ASM error parser.

    Best regards,

    Ronald

      Hi Ronald,

It is quite possible that it is a bug in error parser. Could you paste into your reply the console window output that contains the message that triggers an error to appear rather than a warning?

      Thanks,
      Martin

Is there any text that comes with the warning? Could you post that here? Would be helpful if you could take a screenshot of the message and paste it here as well.

      Hi,

A screenshot of the situtation. (Some project information is removed from the path and resource)

      Best regards,

      Ronald

      Hi Ronald,

I was looking for picture of the console window rather than problems view. Console view contains the exact compiler output before it is processed and displayed in problems view. (see picture below)

      Martin

It looks like the warning W9999 is coming from a .asm file(control.asm) that is generated by a C source file in your project (control.c). Is that correct? So the build console displays this warning but the Problems view shows it as an error, correct?

Are you able to share the project so we can reproduce this at our end? I've been trying to generate a similar warning but have not been successful so far, and we can make progress on getting this addressed a lot quicker if we have a reproducible test case.
