CCS5.1 Linux target configuration file - There is no options available to select the target configuration

I have installed CCS5.1 in linux (CCS5.1.0.07001_linux.tar.gz). While creating the target configuration file in the simulator, there are no options available to select the target. The "connection" selector is greyed out and here is no options in the "device" selection. The snapshot is attached.

  • Hi,

Interesting; I see all the options in the M7 version installed here. I can't tell for sure what may have happened with your installation, therefore I can only think of an issue with permissions. Can you check if the simulator files have read permissions for your user?

    • The directory <CCS_INSTALL_DIR>/ccsv5/ccs_base/simulation
    • The files <othersim.xml> and <tisim_connection.xml> under <CCS_INSTALL_DIR>/ccsv5/ccs_base/common/targetdb/connections

You could also try to reinstall this in a different directory and see if the issue goes away.

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael

  • Hi Rafael,

The simulator files you mentioned have the read permission. Moreover , I am using the machine as root itself.

Is there any other set of files where permission need to be checked ?
