Connect MATLAB with CCS

Hi, I think that is posible connect MATLAB with CCSv4 but I'm no sure completely. I'm trying connect Matlab to the core c5515 fingerprint development kit.

Somebody can help me?

Thanks.

  • Hi Ruben,

Mathworks does provide a certain level of support via their IDE Link plug-in, which they are looking to improve and might be better in CCS v5.  Have a look at this wiki topic.

    http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/MatLab_and_CCS

The MathWorks does not have complete integration with CCSv4 for their Matlab and Simulink products.

In some releases they allow for generating makefiles that can be used with CCSv4: http://www.mathworks.de/help/toolbox/idelink/rn/bsl7jo1-1.html#bsnhsbf-1

Their plan is to hopefully bring back full integration with CCSv5.

    Hope this helps clarify.

  • Hi Lisa, I gonna check the links.

    Thanks!!

  • Hi Ruben,

no problem ... hopefully they have something that can work for you.

  • Ruben-

If by "connect" you mean drive the Debug Server via matlab I have done this with CCSv4 and CCSv5 (working with MSP430 hardware & windows OS). There are other posts that can get you there using CCSv4. Whether CCSv4 or v5, you must use a 32-bit version of Matlab. In addition, with v5, you need to comment out the MozillaGlue.jar and MozillaInterfaces.jar in the matlab classpath.txt file. Both matlab and eclipse use java and these files conflict (at least one of them does, but I commented out both). I got this working when v5 first came out but haven't run it since then.
