XDS560v2 USB - Error 182 : cable break near-to-itself

We have 5 XDS560v2s and two have stopped working. We can launch the debugger in CCSv4, but immediately after clicking the "connect" icon we get the error:

Error connecting to target
(Error -182 @ 0x0)
The controller has detected a cable break that is near-to-itself.
The user must connect the cable/pod to the controller.
(Release 5.0.429.0)

By switching out parts between working and non working systems, we've determined that the problem is the adaptor board PWC 5:2361 REV A (the 2 cm x 2 cm board with 7 chips on it that connects to the ribbon cable.

Are there any other debugging things we can try or do we have to order a new adapter?

The Spectrum Digital tool SdConfigEx does not appear to support the XDS560v2.

Hi Eddie,

if you have indeed verified it is the adapter card and not the cable, then unfortunately there is not a whole lot more you can do. Perhaps double check some of the connections, but it is likely you will need a new adapter.

Update:

Spec Dig does not sell the pod separately. I decided to take a closer look at the pod under a scope and cleaned any dubious connections. It appears to work now. We'll see how long that lasts. Thanks for your help.
