CCSv5.2.0 Install Error in action ExecuteAction - error "not well-formed (invalid token)"

Hey there,

I tried to install CCS v5.2.0 today, and always got the error listed here. Do you have any idea, why this happens? I would be glad about any helpful comments.. :)

Thanks in advance!

Jördis

  • Hi

could you please send us the contents of your installjammer registry directory?  (found under program files or program files (x86))

    Could you please check

    - redownload in case of corruption

    - use the full installer

    - unzip before installing

    - do not use the program files directory or any directory with any accented or special characters

    - you have microsoft redistributable c 2005 installed.  I should have come with the installer, search vcredis*.exe

    Please keep us informed.

    Best regards,

    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

    thanks for your answer!

I think the directory should be ok, and i unziped before installing.. I just tried the microsoft redistributable as well, which had no effect.

The contents of my installjammer registry directory should be attached !

I'm downloading the full installer now, which will take some time. I'll continue tomorrow and keep you informed, thanks so far!

  • Hi Joerdis,

you seem to be using directories with accented characters .... this is probably the issue.  Your name has an o-umlaut ... please try a directory with no accented or special character for the zip file and the installation (both).

Eg unzip and install to c:\myccs or c:\ti

    Please keep us informed.

    Best Regards,

    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa!

You are so right, that was exactly the problem! How stupid, I should have known..

Thank you so much, looking foreward to starting programming my msp430 tomorrow :) THANKS!

    Best Regards,

    Joerdis with the o-umlaut..

  • Hi Joerdis,

my pleasure ... all the best with CCS and the MSP.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Now I got the same problem with web installer (CCSv6 beta 2). I have noted that the temp folder must not contain the problem symbols too. I mean the path c:/Users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Temp. In ohter words UserName must contain the latin  symbols only.

    tnx for your advice.
