EZDSP C5535 Driver problems

I have been having problems getting the EZDSP C5535 to work. During the "Find new hardware" phase of the installation, my computer is unable to locate the drivers. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing both the software and the device, but to no use. Moreover, I cannot manually locate the XDS100 drivers that are specified in the quick start guide. Strangely, the software on the CD *does* come with XDS560 drivers, but these don't seem to install correctly either.

In device manager, I get the following:

In this case, it seems to read as a C5505 device, although this may simply be a generic designation. In any event, I certainly don't see what other posts in this forum have indicated.

Hi Karl,

Did you install CCS first? The XDS100 drivers come with the CCS install.

Yes, I did. The version I installed was v4.2.4.00033, and which the version that came bundled with the EZDSP board.

Karl,

From the device shown in your screenshot I suspect you are connecting the wrong USB port for emulation; the eZdsp5535 has a bulit-in male USB A connector and a female mini-USB B (+ a cable).

So, if you are connecting your board like this:

You should be connecting it like this:

The mini-USB B is connected to the C5535's USB device port, therefore cannot be used for emulation.
