Unable to view MSP430 "Extended" Clock Control debug settings in CCS 5.2

Using CCS 5.2.0.00069 I tried to use the CCS Project Properties to view the "Extended" Clock Control debug settings for a MSP430F2619 target. However, the Project Properties always reports "Connect to a MSP430 device to see the list of available module clock control" even if the project is actively being debugged. The following screen show illustrates this:

Is this a bug in CCS, or have I missunderstood how to view the "Extended" Clock Control debug settings?

Found that once a debugging session has been started, selecting menu option Tools -> Debugger Options -> MSP430 Debugger Options does display the Extended Clock Control.

However, the "Remember My Settings" button doesn't seem to work:

a) Start a debug session and open the MSP430 Debugger Options.

b) Change an Extended Clock Control option and press "Remember My Settings".

c) Terminate the debugging session. Start another debugging session using the same project. Opening the MSP430 Debugger Options shows the default settings are in use again.

Therefore, it would be useful the Extended Clock Control options could be set from the CCS Project Properties before starting a debug session.

Thanks for the information. For some reason, checking for updates in my CCS 5.2.0.00069 installation didn't show any available CCS updates so I has missed the new release. Now downloading the CCS 5.2.1 installer to try.

I now have CCS 5.2.1.00018 installed, but it behaves in the same way as CCS 5.2.0.00069 did for the MSP430 "Extended" Clock Control.

Hi Chester,

While it is correct behaviour, that the clock modules are unknown until you are connected, and CCS seems to make the correct settings, it is not necessarily displaying them correctly.

Let me submit this as a bug for you and thanks for the feedback.
