CCSv5.3.0 Beta 1 is now available!

We have posted the first beta version of CCSv5.3.0! 

New in this beta 1 release: GUI Composer (creation of custom user interfaces that interact with your target application), XDS560v2 Pro Trace on Windows, XDS2xx (JTAG only) on Windows and Linux, support for MSP430 (F6659 and F6779) and EEM Trace, F28335 series, and multiple bug fixes.

We encourage all CCS users to try out this beta and welcome/appreciate any feedback related to this version. Please provide any feedback on this forum and tag it with the tag "CCS53BETA1".

Your feedback is instrumental in helping us make the 5.3.0 release a successful one!

    PRU register view

    Hello guys,

    I couldn't find any changes related to AA335x devices in the changelog, but hope is still present ;)

    So can you tell me if view of PRU registers is now possible in CCS 5.3 beta? At the moment its like this:

    Core Registers    access
    Debug    access
    INTC access, but reads 0x00000000
    PRU0_CTRL    access, but reads 0x00000000
    PRU0_DEBUG    access, but reads 0x00000000
    PRU_CFG    access, but reads 0x00000000
    IEP    access, but reads 0x00000000
    MII_RT_CFG    access, but reads 0x00000000
    MII_MDIO  access, but reads 0x00000000

    Cortex A8 registers

    Also I read your planing to add (in the next release of CCS) more Cortex A8 registers for AM335x device. Hows about that?

    E.g. I am missing GPIO, UART,...
