XDS200 emulator Error -2048 when starting debug session

I am trying to use the XDS200 to debug a TMS320DM642 device. I have emulation package 5.0.899. The emulator enumerates correctly in Device Manager, and passes the "Test Connection" activity in the CCS Target Configuration menu. However when I start a debug session I get :-

C64x: Error initializing emulator: (Error -2084 @ 0x0) Internal error: Missing or corrupt application file. Restart the application. If error persists, please report the error. (Emulation package 5.0.899.0)

I have CCS 5.1 - was unable to update to 5.3 due to update issues (seperate post) but I was able to update the TI emulation drivers.

I read on another post that this error may indicated that the DM642 is not supported by the XDS200 (even though SD recommended this emulator to me).

the post indicating the device is not supported is correct. We have the bug filed and are working towards updating both CCS and the documentation. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Note that we are looking into if we can get support for C64x devices (including DM642) added. Same story for C671x/2x.

I have the same message for C6726 and package 5.0.872. Should works?

Benoit,

C672x devices are not supported today by XDS200. The development team is scoping the effort to see what it would take to add support. The older devices use a completely different software stack so initial thoughts are that this is a significant effort.

I buy an XDS200 especially because it was documented compatible!

I get a XDS100 not compatible

I get also a XDS501PP and a XDS510PPPlus, no more copatible with actual PC's

Do you have a solution?
