eZdsp C5535 configuration

Hi,

I need help configuring my eZdspC5535 starter kit board. I follow all the instructions on the Quickstart guide. When I get to the last part of the CCS configuration I get an error message "Error connecting to the target: (Error -151 @ 0x0) This utility failed to open the adapter for a custom emulator. The adapter returned an error. (Release 5.0.429.0)".

Note: My laptop is windows 8 and doesn't have a DVD reader so I installed CCS v4.2.4 through TI website. Also I installed the audio support after I made my first attempted to configure the device but even after I installed it I'm having this issue.

I moved your thread to CCS to see if Windows 8 is supported.

Abdo - I recommending moving to the latest CCSv5 version if you are using Windows 8. While the soon to be released CCSv5.4 version will be the first CCS version to officially support Windows 8, we have done some light testing with the current CCSv5.3 release and it seems to work fine. We have not done any testing with CCSv4.

Please updated to v5.3 and let us know if that helps (or not).

I was having two problems at once. Windows 8 didn't recognize my device, and CCS4 didn't give me the option to put eZdsp5535 as the device i'm configuring. Moving the software to my windows 7 PC and getting CCSV5 solved my issue.
