No reliable Target Connect with Blackhawk USB560 Emulator to TDA1MEV Automotive Vision Applications Processor

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDA1MEV, TMS320DM8148

CCS version: 5.2.1.18

Hi support team,

we have a TDA1MEV Automotive Vision Applications Processors to which we can connect. But usually when I am connecting to several processors after a random time I get in the console of CCS several error messages and the connection is lost and no debugging possible. There was even a hang up sometimes of the complete CCS, which produced an error log.

I have added the latest error log for your information which maybe helps you and gives some information.

Do you need more information for locating the problem?

Thanks for any idea or help.

Klaus

  • Hi Klaus,

That zip file seems corrupted. Could you repost it?

Also, I am not familiar with the processor you mention. Do you have more details? A link to the TI page for the processor would be great.

Also provide what emulator you are using.

    Thanks

    ki

  • Hi ki,

this processor is a new automotive one from TI, but we started with a TMS320DM8148 which is the same architecture.

I have added the log file again as '.log.7z'. I checked the zip file and it was ok.

The emulator  I am using it the Blackhawk USB560: Part# : BH-USB-560P Bus Powered

This part number is from the Blackhawk company.

    Do you need further information?

    Thanks,

    Klaus

Could you provide more details on what you are doing when you get the errors and connection loss? Provide detailed steps.

Also, generating and attaching a debug server log would be helpful. This is NOT enabled by default and you must first explicitly enable the logging, then reproduce the issue to make sure it is captured in the log.

  • Hi ki,

I have updated my CCS 5.2.1.18 at the part  "Installed Software->TI Emulators" to the version 5.1.8.0 and I have enabled the debug log in the CCS.

After updating it works much more stable but after working several hours the debugger reports an error again. I have added a zip-file containing the debug log and the error messge from the console.

By the way how to verify your answers with the "Green Button". I don't know how.
