CCSV5 Getting Spell Check to Work Properly

I'm trying to get spell check to work on my comments. I've gone to Window->Preferences->General->Editors->Text Editors->Spelling to enable spell checking but my misspelled words still aren't being caught. Has anyone run into this issue and found a solution?

what OS and ccs version are you using? Can you send a screen capture/example?

I'm using Windows 7. CCS Version is 5.1.0

Hi,

a couple comments

1 - I would strongly recommend moving to the latest version of ccs (v5.4)

2 - I believe comments are not checked. Is this the behaviour you see? Only things commented out are ignored?

Hi Chia-Ning,

From the screen captures, it looks like you are using a text editor and not a C/C++ editor. To open up the default C/C++ editor for .c files, right click on the .c file and select "Open With | Default Editor" in the context menu, or "Open With | C/C++ Editor".
