Does XDS100v3 support STM?

Hi,

I only found XDS100 supports ETB at http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/XDS100#General_Features.

Does it also support STM (system trace)?

Hi,

Only if the STM Trace data is stored in the ETB. For details, check the video below: (STM starts at about 6:30)

Thanks for sharing the video.
I want to check EMIF throughtput on DM8148 and it seems it is ok to use XDS100V3 with ETB.
Is there any information miss as the ETB buffer is small for throughtput checking?

Hi Chris,
The size of the ETB is really small so your window for capturing data is short. You may need to do some tricks like flushing the contents of ETB to RAM or something like that if you want to capture a sizable amount of data for a decent length of time.
