blackhawk 560v2 led always flash, and the CCS can't detect the emulator

Expert 7680 points

Hi Champions,

My customer report the emulator connection failure issue, they use blackhawk 560v2, and the led always flash, the CCS can't detect the emulator, does it mean the hardware broken?

The CCS version is 5.5.00079.

Zhan.

  • Zhan,

I can't tell the HW is broken. Please ask your customer to go through Blackhawk's Bh560v2Config utility manual (accessible from the button "Help" inside the utility), which contains a troubleshooting guide and the meaning of all different status LEDs.

Also, double check the USB and power connections, as well as test the same JTAG debugger on a different PC to workaround any possible device driver or USB port problems.

    Regards,

  • Zhan,

Blinking green indicates that the emulator is booting up. This should take a few seconds then turn solid green if it is ready. If it never goes solid, then putting it in safe mode and  then use the Bh560v2 Config Utility to update the firmware. This will update the firmware and then clear safe mode.

See the attached document for more details:

    Thanks
