CCS/TMS320F28035: When I open .cfg file, didn't show up graphic interface

Hi Champs,

When I import ILPFC code from controlSUITE. There is a main.cfg file. When I open it , it showed the script and didn't show GUI to me. I already installed TI-RTOS/xdctool. Please see below picture. My CCS version is V7.0

Hello!
In Project Explorer right-click your main.cfg file, then in pop-up menu try Open with... -> XGCong.

thanks for your reply. i tried your method and looks like there is a error message... I check the error message which show can't find the platform package 'devkits.platform' along the path

Do you have any idea about this error? thanks!

Lisa,
I had an experience, that graphic editor did not come up, and it worked for me to enforce graphic editor with manipulation I described. It looks, in your case the root cause is more complicated.
Sorry, I have no recipe how to fix that, however, clearing the workspace does the magic sometimes if you believe all required components are there.

I am installing controlSUITE to try to reproduce but that is going to take a while. Can you try selecting XDCTools 3.32 for your project instead of 3.50. I don't believe 3.50 is compatible with the TI-RTOS you are using.

I found another thread that covers this topic. It looks like PowerSuite requires a couple of other elements to be installed to work if using CCSv7.0. GUI Composer Runtime and GMF Runtime. The GMF runtime should be installed by default in CCSv7.1 and later but it is not there in CCSv7.0. The GUI Composer Runtime can be installed via App Center
