Hi everyone!

I tried CCSv8 and problems the same as in CCSv7:

C/C++ Indexer

Migrating Legacy project...

This is the reaction to saving the file.

For the first time I can save the changes, and then everything hangs. Restart by "KILL", and then I can do only one action.

There is an a log:

Is this log the same as the one in your other thread?

I have sent that one to engineering for analysis.

Thank you for the log. It was quite helpful. Engineering was able to determine that the deadlock you are experiencing is similar to another previously reported issue (CCDSK-3103) and that issue is planned to be fixed for the upcoming CCS 8.1.0 release.

In the meantime, would you be willing to try out the fix? It is dropping in the following jar file:

/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/81/com.ti.common.project.core_5F00_8.0.0.201802131100.jar.zip

To install the patch, extract the file in the zip and:

Find the file with the identical name in your <ccsv8>/eclipse/plugins/ directory, and rename it to have the extension ".jar_orig".
Then save the extracted jar file into that directory. You can always roll back to the original copy of the file.
Then start CCS.

Note that this patch is meant for CCS v8.0.0.00016 (official released version).
