Connect to PRSC failed, -6023

I'm trying to connect to a new board and am getting an error:

  Connect to PRSC failed, -6023.

 

CCS4.2 with a Spectrum Digital XDS510 emulator.  This setup works properly on a different board, so I know the problem is in the new board.

I don't know what this error message means.  It is not helpful to diagnose the connection issue in the hardware.

    Peter,

    What is the device you are using? Did you verify you have a stable JTAG connection to the device by using the SDConfig utility? Check Spectrum Digital's nice troubleshooting guide at:

    http://support.spectrumdigital.com/guides/JTAG_Emulator_guide/

    If you can't communicate to the device, check if an external processor is keeping the device in reset, is daisy-chained to the same JTAG path or is failing to provide power during the connection time (the JTAG connection may assert the TRST pin depending on the configurations of CCS, therefore keep this in mind when debugging the board).

    Also, the forum thread below talks a bit about PRSC and shows additional tips on how to further debug this issue.

    We're using a 6748.

     

    We managed to figured out that the reset line was not always working properly.

     

    I see no link to a forum thread in your reply.

    This also happened to me but running sdconfigex and clicking on the emulator test button solved the problem. It had no problem finding the scan chain devices. After that, CCS worked great.

    Hi,

    when connection XDS 510 USB  JTAG with DM6446, i got the same error as above.

    even running SDCONFIG, i got same error. kindly help me, pls
