UAF42 FilterPro Software

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UAF42

I have tried to locate the older version of FilterPro FILTER42 software but haven't been able to. I would like to utilize the UAF42 exclusively but there are not options to do so in the new FilterPro program. Can you please tell me where I can download the older UAF42 software?

Regards,

Greg Barnett

  • filter42 is in the archive at

    http://focus.ti.com/lit/sw/sbfc001/sbfc001.zip

Be aware that it's a DOS program that I haven't managed to get working under Windows 7. However, an emulator like dosbox or dosemu works.

You'll also want to use the following document to interpert the software's output:

  • Thank you very much, Leon!

  • Just in case anyone is interested...I've got this working in Windows10.

Following on from what Leon wrote (all that time ago)

From SourceForge I downloaded and installed "DOSBox" (sourceforge.net/.../)

    Then Start...All Apps...DOSBox-0.74...DOSBox 0.74 Options

This opens dosbox-0.74.conf in notepad. Go to the end of the file, and you'll see this:

    [autoexec]
    # Lines in this section will be run at startup.
    # You can put your MOUNT lines here.

    After these lines I added:

    mount g f:\Users\Charlie\Downloads\sbfc001

(I elected to mount a new G: drive, and have it point to the directory where I'd downloaded/unzipped sbfc001.zip into)

    Next is Start...All Apps...DOSBox-0.74...DOSBox 0.74 (noconsole)

That starts a dos-looking window, starting at the Z: drive (at least for me)

I entered G: (to switch to my mounted directory)

    then FILTER42

which started the program just fine.

(The issue here is that Filter42 is a 16-bit program, which won't emulate under 64-bit windows. DOSBox is a 32-bit program which will run under windows 64, and it can then run a 16-bit program)
