CC2511 crystal manufacturer

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2511

Hi,

I have a CC2511 EMK kit, but cannot find the manufacturer and part number of the 48MHz crystal. The parts list states

"X2 Crystal, ceramic SMD 4x2.5mX_48.000/20/35/20/18 ", but the crystal appears to be 3.2x2.5mm in size. What manufacturer is used for the part please?

Thanks

The Crystal size and configuration is not a critical issue anymore.  It used to be that you needed to consider the drift of the crystal for a radio.  The TI low power IC’s use a DSP process to lock the reference signal that is produced by the crystal.   You can look around and use what you need for your design as long as it has the right frequency for your code.   The reference design uses 48MHz.

If you need to replace the crystal on the EMV board you might want to look at Digikey .  Look at Abracon or Citizen.

If you need some help I would be happy to offer you my services and get you through this issue.

    Good Luck
