Hi,

May I ask if the C2000 series MCU support 5V TTL input or not? if not, any recommended solution can be suggested?

Hello Barry!

Hello Gautam,

I am also facing same problem. i am using F28M35H52C controller. i forgot to add divider circuit to make 5V to 3.3V. i am testing my boards witn 5V input to GPIO since 10 days. Still no issues found. I am measuring 4.7V at GPIO when 5V applied to it.

This 5V will be applied for short time 1 - 2 minutes (using as input in boot loader for firmware upgrade detection) may be 3 times per day...

Will it be big concern..?? layout change for this will be big effort for me. Kindly suggest.

Govind,

I strongly recommend that you make the layout change. Measuring 4.7 V at the GPIO is outside of the Absolute Maximum Rating. You are at risk of damaging the device and impacting the reliability of the device.

Please see Tables 4.1 Absolute Maximum Ratings and 4.2 Recommended Operating Conditions in your Datasheet for more information.
