Hi
We have had a problem with development boards TMS-320F28335. Connecting and debugging over JTAG worked fine with the C2000 series XDS510LC emulator of digital spectrum. Suddenly connection was not possible anymore and CCS5 came up with the following error:
Error connecting to target:
Error 0x800000200/ -1135
Fatal Error during: OCS,
Unrecoverable emulation error
There was no way to recover and we thought that the flash was locked and therefore there was not access.
Doing some further tests we found that debugging was possible again when physically pulling down the EMU0 pin to GND (with a 470Ohm resistor) of the JTAG interface. This seems to enable the Wait-In Reset mode of the DSP (the wait in reset option of the SdConfigEx.exe tool does not work).
Even better after one successful connection with the debugger with EMU0 pulled to GND, the problem disappeared. Debugging was again possible with the initial configuration.
We have had this problem on four different boards that we collected over time. The problem could be solved for all boards with the procedure described above.
Is there an explanation for this behaviour? We need to know in order to fix possible bug causing this problem. :-(
Best regards
Christof
