Since two days ago my XDS100V2 emulator ,which had been working well with CCS v5.4 installed in my computer & a F28335 developing board, keep failing to connect to the computer. In CCS, the error message pop up when I start to debug are as follows:
Error connecting to the target:
(Error -151 @ 0x0)
One of the FTDI driver functions used during
the connect returned bad status or an error.
The cause may one or more of: invalid emulator serial number,
blank emulator EEPROM, missing FTDI drivers, faulty USB cable.
Use the xds100serial command-line utility in the 'common/uscif'
folder to verify the emulator can be located.
(Emulation package 5.1.232.0)
When plugged in the USB port, it is classified as "other devices" in the Device Manager, with a yellow triangle before its name"Texas Instruments Inc.XDS100 ver 2.0". I've checked the VID& PID and found them correct (0403&A6D0).
So I deleted CCS and reinstalled it ,only to find the problem remains and I've tried both v5.4 and v5.5. I've found out that when installing CCS, a message poped up reads"XDS100 Driver Installation failed". The key to the problem is, of course, the lack of driver. Is there any way to get the driver back in place? Or how could I install CCS well? The problem really kills me and I do need your help, thank you!
OS:Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Emulator:self-made XDS100V2 emulator. I have three of these emulators and the problem remains the same
CCS: v5.4 & v5.5(the installation pack of which both failed to install the driver
