TMS320F28335 FLash programming using autocode generation from Matlab

Did you try loading ADC module alone (with no other functionalities)? Does it work then or not?

Dear Gautham,

Yes I tried only loading the ADC block  and a LCD to display its value, it doesn't work.

I read a pdf "Running an Application from Internal Flash Memory on the TMS320F28xxx DSP", still can't figure out how to deal with ADC.

I doubt some ADC_Cal routine code that is causing me this problem. For that in Matlab target preference , I made the appropriate changes, still the same.

We don't have a control over the code generated by Matlab, but we could view the source files.

Viewing would not be enough! Editing it should be possible.

Actually, the Matlab throws out the .out file, when it is loaded in CCS, I get a set of source file, header file, linker command files,etc.

  If I run them in CCS, I find stuck in Illegal ISR loop.

True..true! Do you've any other kit to check the same functionality?

Yes, I have one more DSC Experimenter kit.

Here, when I run the same Matlab model without flashing it, the ADC works fine, (i.e. the sensor reads the value and displays them in LCD.)

This means you're running via RAM and not flash?

Yes right, via RAM, where my DSC is connected to computer and I Run and Pause the code.

    But when I flash it using  CCS Uniflash 3.0, and after making ON/OFF the DSC, it doesn't work.

Exactly, this means that you're code is getting executed through RAM. Karuna, you must be having some setting in Matlab itself to run the code from Flash. As, I've not used Matlab myself I don't know where you'll be able to find that setting.

But, your previous problem was pertaining the kit and not matlab right? After replacing the kit, your ADC code is functional right (excluding the RAM/FLASH part)?

 I didn't replace the kit, it is the same one that is functional in ram and not in flash.

So, this is the short coming of Matlab? Just one thought, why not implement the same using core coding techniques? Is the project huge? Atleast you'll have the total control of the project and its parameters. Most importantly you'll get detailed support here. Matlab interface becomes a bottle neck in this forum :)

Yes, I will implement small part of them using core coding technique.  Already , I verified the flash programming with my DSC using the example project files of LED blinking.
