hi,

Am using TMS320F2812 KIT., i Successfully done some project in the following mode:
1. Jump to H0 SARAM
2. Jump to FLASH.

Now i want to some simple projects in SCI BOOT MODE , Hence i selected SD FLASH UTILITY, my target is 2812 with 25Mhz crystal @ 125Mhz SYSCLKOUT Frequency. am trying to program the flash through RS232 Cable in SCI BOOT MODE, but am not able to program successfully, the error window i taken a print screen and i attached with this thread. please look and solve my problem .

i tell about ,my serial cable connections please tell if any wrong in this:

am using 9 pin serial cable.

i this manner i prepared serial cable , is it right ????

Note :i tried via ccs3.3 (Tools -> On-chip flash programmer) in jump to flash mode.,it's successfully running......, flash doesn't have problem., it's working good., 8863.error.doc

Thiyagarajan,

Since you have been able to erase the flash using SDFlash serial, I wouldn't suspect your hardware connections, SCI mode configuration etc because it was able to load the load erase algorithm in RAM using SCI boot mode selection. However, did you make sure SDFlash serial algorithm was re-built to reflect your input clock (25Mhz)? SDFlash serial algorithms are by default built for 30Mhz. Did you already try using the SDFlash serial algorithm at 30Mhz?

If you aren't able to get SDFlash serial work for you, try Codeskin (link shown below).

Did you check whether other sectors are programmed correctly as expected after program failure reported by SDFlash serial?

Thank you for care , yes my hardware was, and BOOT ROM code code was executing fine.

ya, i was changed to 125 Mhz at the following alogorithm.,

C:\CCStudio_v3.3\specdig\sdflash\mydrivers\DSP281x_v3_3\DSP281x_serial\build\F28xxSerialFlash.pjt

in this project i was changed settings in following file, Flash281x_API_Config.h

#define CPU_RATE 8.000L // for a 125MHz CPU clock speed (SYSCLKOUT)

is their any other thing i want to change in algorithm for 25Mhz crystal, and 125Mhz SYSCLKOUT. ?????

Hi Manoj,

what you suggested is right, then i tried in C2Prog from CodeSkin.com........., it too connecting erasing but not programming , & i tried for different sector (sector A & D ) showing the following error, i took that error is in doc, please refer attached Document for error.

Thiyagarajan,

Do you see this behavior on other parts? (or) is this the only part you have tried?

Also,did you try programming this device at 125 Mhz using CCS plugin?
