About Controlsuite offline installer

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

Hi :

Several customers meet below problem. After downloaded the controlSuite offline installer and installed it. However, what they got is just the resource explorer as attached image, which doesn’t seem working.

At first,I guess it is due to they didn't install some package like Microsoft .NET Framework ,Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package;but it isn't the cause of the issue.

Does anyone know the root cause?

Thank you

Forrest

  • The offline installer does not install a special breadcrumb file that is needed for resource explorer to pick up the controlSUITE files.  The web installer is a bit more complex and is able to create this file.  You can manually add this file yourself.

I've attached two files to this post.  The current controlSUITE needs two breadcrumb files, one for the standalone GUI and one for the integrated CCS GUI.  You'll need to place these files in:

    c:\users\YOUR_USERNAME\ti\CCSExternalReferences\

    The files are:

FYI you'll want to remove the prefix the forums add.  The file should have no extension...just a filename like controlSUITE_0_3_1_0
