I porting the drv2605 (haptic driver) to our
platform according to the website http://www.ti.com/product/DRV2605/toolssoftware

There is one problem.The Linux Driver for DRV260X do not have class ,so I do
not know how use DRV2605 API Software to test .

Do you have other method to test ? Or do I must create the class ?(If it
is .Do you have sample code?)

We have developed DRV2605 Linux device driver for Android.

Hi, Eason:

Our device used to develop the example code is Nexus 4.

Device tree is not used in Nexus 4 kernel. So I haven't sample code that supports device tree for now.

Hi, Erik:

The source code mentioned in "Keyboard .. pdf", is an example implementation. I think it's based on older Android versions.
you can make your own with the reference of it.

Hi, Eason:

The driver we provided supports Android default vibration interface : /sys/class/timed_output/vibrator.

to use this interface, just follow normal vibrator operations.

the DRV2605 device driver for Android is developed based Linux kernel 3.4.

I already saw the interface (/sys/class/timed_output/vibrator),but there is no "Vibrate on touch" in Settings apk.

Do I missing something?

hello Peter Li1:
I checked the patch you provided.
I found that it use "/dev/drv2605L" as device node.
But we use the driver you provide on the previous page:
e2e.ti.com/.../DRV2605_5F00_Android_5F00_Device_5F00_Driver.7z
and the node name is drv2605.

If we want to use the patch, do we just rename the node name "drv2605L" to be "drv2605"?
Is there any newer drv2605 driver version?
