Hi Munin,

Best way to test power dissipation of the IC is to look at thermal performance. Please see attached thermal image of the TPS23755EVM under worst case 13W and 37V input condition for extended time. Note the hottest component is the diode bridge and the thermal temperature is still reasonable.

Hi Munin,

The power dissipated by the IC will be the power at the pass FET (IRTN*IRTN*RDSon) and the power to drive the gate of the switching FET (VCC*ICC) and conduction loss of the switching FET (RDSonFET*Irms*Irms).
