Now our customer plan to pull down BIN pin to GND always to keep to set BAT_DET bit. Then they would like to know if you have any concerns to use with such configuration. So can you please give us some comments if you have any concern?
[Reason to use with such configuration]
- The battery pack they are assuming may not have pull down resister into battery pack.
- They know that they can set BAT_DET by issuing BAT_INSERT command, but the host should be operated and issue command when the pack will be inserted. This constrain the design of system.
These are the reason they are planing to pull down the BIN pin to GND always.
