High Brightness LED IC

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62110

I'm looking to find a (switchmode) constant current source for a LED driver that will be powered off from 2 series Lithium Ion batteries.  Normal input voltages will range from 7V-8.4V and the output needs to be able to source up to (and preferably slightly greater than) 1.2A with a LED voltage between 3.5V and 4.5V .  I've looked into doing a buck converter in a current source mode, however efficiency is important and since the feedback voltage is quite high in the buck regulators, there is considerable power loss in the sense resistor.  Any suggestions on part numbers that I may have blown over?

Thanks!

Eric
