Hello,
We're interested in buying the mmWave cascade imaging radar DSP evaluation module (MMWCAS-DSP-EVM) with mmWave cascade imaging radar RF evaluation module (MMWCAS-RF-EVM) for radar data processing with your new cascaded module of AWR1243.
We need the ability to record a live stream of raw adc data on an external machine (via Ethernet or USB). We use Ubuntu (Linux) as our operating system, and thus require support for Linux. Most importantly, we require the ability to set all radar parameters from Ubuntu. We are aware that the SDK provided at www.ti.com/.../PROCESSOR-SDK-TDAX suggests support of Linux and Windows for TDAx processors, but only mentions Windows support for the new cascade system. Can you provide more information as to Linux support of the cascade system?
For your information, we previously worked with the AWR1843 with a DCA1000EVM capture board for continuous data streaming and recording on a Linux OS. We ran into some application specific issues:
- Generating desired radar waveforms (e.g. assigning a phase shift to each radar chirp, setting specific parameters which should be supported by the radar, etc.);
- Recording incoming data from the DCA1000EVM board which was not supported on Linux;
- Various operating modes which are supported in Windows but not on Linux (e.g. simulataneous ultra-short and medium range capture).
Thank you for your help,
