Hi

My customer has implemented the CC2541-CC2590 design. He is not using the CC2541 as a standard BLE.

But he is not able to get the 22dBm transmit max power on the CC2591, He was only able to achieve 10dBm gain.

Is there area we shoudl start looking into?

Ivan

  • The CC2590 give a max output power of 14dBm while the CC2591 does 22dBm.

The CC2541-CC2590EM is designed to give a typical output power of 10dBm which is defined as the upper limit of max transmit power for the BLE  standard.

If you want 22dBm or power close to that, you will have to follow the CC2530-CC2590EM reference design closesly (replace the CC2530 with the CC2541)
