Control/program C85xx with MCU

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2511

Hi everyone,

I have a few question regarding the C85xx PurePath 2.4 GHz range. In the product brochure and datasheet there is mentioned that these chips can be controlled by a MCU. However I'm not able to find any details. Why is that?
I recently bought a Headset dev kit to get to know the C8531, I am a fan. And I want to implement this into my concept which contains a small MCU with usb interface. In order to make a transparent and easy to use platform (for possible mass production) I would like to be able to totally control the C85xx by my MCU. So I only need to flash the boot loader of my MCU. So once connected to a USB port everything can be controlled by the computer.

In short I want to flash the C8531 using only my MCU.
I suppose SPI is used to do so, but is there information about this way of working? Would I be able to flash the output file of the PurePath configuration into C85xx like the CC2511 debugger does?

Kind regard,

Mathieu H.
