I am wondering what the differences are between Rev 3.1 and Rev 3.3 of the boosterpack. I am wondering this because the two have very different behaviours to the point were 3.3 sort of works but 3.1 does not work at all.
I have used the CC31XXEMUBOOST to see that there are two noticeable differences.
REV 3.1:
ROM - 0x111
FW - 2.06.7.31.0.0.3.2.1.1.8.7
REV 3.3:
ROM - 0x222
FW - 2.0.7.0.31.0.0.4.2.1.5.3.3
Is it possible to update the FW in the Rev 3.1, are there hardware differences as well between the two boards, why should one work with the demo TCP_Socket with no issue and the other give me lots of troubles.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Kas
Hi Kas,
You can definitely update the firmware on Rev 3.1 board using the same procedure.
May I know the device part no. and SDK you are using with Rev 3.1 board.
Old firmware can lead to unexpected behaviour you are seeing with rev 3.1 board.

Hello Ankur,
I am using the CC3100BOOST with the MSP430F5529LP Launchpad. I am using SDK 0.5.2. I have updated the firmware and will retest today.
