MSP-FET430U100AUSB: JTAG module driver needed - old module

Having trouble with Uniflash and driver for what appears to be an older version of JTAG module - part number on top is MSP-FET430UIF. V1.4a on bottom, serial number 10086554909R.

Was originally on Win7 test station and driver needs to be re-installed so that this baby works again.

To troubleshoot - when I connected this module to Win10, windows installs a COM3 driver and UNIFLASH does not recognize the modules presence.

This module was working, and with power light on appears to be working still, if driver issues could be resolved.

Hi Roger May I know if you have installed CCS on your PC. If yes, Could you please test if MSP-FET430UIF can work with CCS? Thanks

Thank You for Your interest. a full install of CCS lastest version takes approximately 4Gig. A bit much to try to get a driver working. I did install the CCS latest version on my 64bit Win10 test machine. looking to see if resolution has already shifted the driver to recognize the unique hardware.. Is there any place to just get the drivers for this baby? The test machine that this JTAG module needs to run on is Win7 and with National Instruments Test Stand.via command line invocation for flashing the processor. MSP430F2616.

Hi Roger, there is the previous E2E thread on the MSP-FET430UIF driver. on the discussion, I can see user installed the driver on his PC finally. Could you please go through this thread and check if this method (CCS Cloud install driver automatically) works for you? Thanks!

It will be some time before I return to the mfg.site. Since installing CCS on a production machine to establish a driver for the JTAG module is the only suggestion that TI has - I will try that when I have my next access window. Please consider this closed. Thanks All and Be Well.

Oh, please do tell - which version of CCS should I plan to download to the target Win7 machine.

I remember I have used CCS 6, 7 and 8 on window 7 OS. Please consider try any version of these previous CCS version: https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/ccs_downloads.html
