there is one question about HDC3020 EVM

when I checked the status from the GUI , it is strange to find two hints:

03:0  Drift correction is not running 

02:0 drift correction successful 

but I had never run the drift correction from the GUI

so can we say the EVM will do drift correction everytime when power on  as TI reference code ?

 

the accuray of humidity from the spec is defined with drift correction or without?   how to understand with the typical defination for the spec, it is means +/-2 sigma as sensirion sensor spec ?

    Hi Junger,

    Thank you for posting to the Sensing forum.

    Drift correction will not run until the user executes it in the GUI. When drift correction is running the device heater will turn on and there will be a significant temperature rise:

    I apologize for the misleading Status message, it appears that this is just a print statement to confirm that there are no errors with the drift correction functionality.

    The HDC3020 accuracy is specified without drift correction. The min/max values in the datasheet are 3-sigma or better.
